Take a stand with PROTESTRA!

Making art in response to injustice is a crucial part of the struggle for human rights. This work must be accomplished from the ground up and come from each of us speaking out for what we know is right. PROTESTRA harmonizes and amplifies individual voices into a focused message for change.

Creating art to inspire empathy is more important than ever. Will you join us and donate to support PROTESTRA’s mission in the 2025-26 season?

PROTESTRA has always been a grassroots-funded ensemble, and it is our community that empowers us to do what we do. We need you to help us raise $8,000 to fund this Fall’s projects and continue our mission. Your support pays for musicians, concert management, and the ability to plan ahead and take creative risks.

Your support helps music transcend entertainment; it helps make music that makes a difference.

This Fall, as a continuation of our Protestra 2025 Campaign, we will fundraise for victims of the war in Gaza and advocate for immigrant rights in New York City through chamber music performances in collaboration with local organizations. In Spring 2026, PROTESTRA will bring the full orchestra together in two concerts. The first, in partnership with the American Composers Forum as part of the multi-year Recomposing America initiative, will premiere two commissioned works that explore what it means to be a woman in America. Our second concert will champion LGBTQ+ pride and support the ongoing fight for trans rights.
