Many mothers are familiar with the straining, crying, and irritability of a constipated baby and an indescribable feeling of relief when a baby finally goes. For Arneth, Princess Raine's mom, such relief is very rare because her two-year-old girl has a colon condition that causes difficulty passing stool.
A few weeks after Princess Raine was born, Arneth noticed her little one was very uncomfortable and distressed. Princess Raine was soon admitted back to the hospital due to her inability to have a bowel movement. Chronic constipation and a hard swollen belly were the main signs of Hirschsprung's disease (a congenital condition that affects the large intestine and prevents it from functioning properly). But the child needs a biopsy to know the correct diagnosis.
The family can barely afford their little girl's immediate needs. A biopsy is a costly procedure that is way beyond their budget. Getting it done is even more complicated now because of the fecaloma (a mass of hardened stool) that needs to be cleaned so that a doctor can reach the tissues for a biopsy.
The biopsy and surgery are essential for Princess Raine's survival and will help her lead a normal life. Your donation, no matter how small, will help us cover the cost of the medical procedures and provide her with the care she needs. Please donate today and help us give her a chance at a healthy future.
