Power in Passion is raising money to buy a reentry home, for those that may not have a place to go once they leave prison. While this has been a long term goal of Power in Passion since the beginning, after experiencing the cost of keeping people in hotels we realized this is something that we can not wait on. With the $2000 in donations that we have spent on housing Bobby in a hotel until we able to find something more permanent we could have housed 5 Returning Citizens in a Reentry house for an entire month and paid the utilities.
The money from this fund will go directly to starting our first reentry house as soon as possible.
We would like to be able to house 5 returning citizens in the home and offer intensive services during their stay. Eventually we would like to have several reentry houses throughout the Lansing area and even offer different levels of Reentry Housing in order to best support those coming home
