Power in Passion is a Total Reentry Solution. Our objective is to reduce the number of technical violations that parolees and probationers encounter therefore improving the success rate of returning citizens and eradicating the “revolving door” to jail and prison that probation and parole currently create. We do this through our app, advocacy, incentivizing positive behavior through gamification, an abundance of direct resources, and user accessibility.

Returning citizens are overwhelmed with conditions, meeting their basic needs, and making time for all their requirements, all while trying to navigate a world they may no longer be familiar with. Throughout the history of reentry, negative consequences for noncompliance of any kind and very little support or help navigating the individualized hurdles returning citizens face has been the norm. Our vision is to replace the punitive based reentry system with a restorative model that rewards positive decisions and behaviors instead of punishing negative ones. Mentorship and strong relationships within the community are an integral part of the process. We build trust through compassion, understanding, and time.
At Power in Passion our Mission is to reduce the number of technical violations returning citizens and those on probation receive, as a way to eliminate the revolving door to jails and prisons that currently is community corrections. We accomplish this through our restorative justice core, an abundance of supports and resources, mentorship and advocacy. Additionally, we use gamification to support behavior that strengthens connections and promotes positive progress. Creating connections is one of the most important pieces of our program because it is vital for successful reentry. We ultimately believe that everyone, no matter their past deserves an opportunity to find their passion and create a life they love from it. Which is why we choose to focus on helping Returning Citizens get past the barriers parole and probation can cause or magnify, and create a life and future that they desire.
