Portland Alumni Corporation is a non-profit organization that seeks to give hope to those in need and provide a positive change in the lives of many.
Our goal is to empower young minds to overcome poverty and build a brighter future for the children of West Portland, Jamaica. We aim to empower our younger generation to thrive and excel in order to achieve their fullest potential. The Empowerment Program focuses on providing beneficiaries with skills and basic knowledge through workshops and training, to cultivate a positive self-belief and an ambitious mindset.
Our Primary Objectives are to:
• Provide meals and transportation
to and from school.
• Reach out to professionals who
can teach students the
necessary skills needed to live
an independent and successful
life.
• Improve healthcare systems.
• Develop educational programs
and learning centers.
• Equip the minds of the
communities’ youths to better
their mental and social capacity.
With your generous donation we will be able to provide desks for the students instead of them using chairs, computers instead of several students using one tablet to complete an assignment.
