During their time we served two Christian Schools, served two Orphanages, did street evangelism and completed some tasks that have been needing to get done for the church

So much that we could say about this, but more than anything else we are simply in awe of the goodness of God and His heart for this community.

Today we Celebrate Independence Day in Mexico
A brief note on Mexico's Independence:
It all began here in Querétaro, where secret meetings were held in 1810 to plan the uprising against Spanish rule. Those gatherings sparked the movement that changed Mexico’s history.
On September 16, 1810, Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla gave the famous “Grito de Dolores” — the cry that called the people to rise up for freedom. After more than a decade of struggle, independence was finally secured in 1821, with the treaty signed here in Querétaro.
August/September Highlights (Photos at the Bottom):
Plants and Pillars Church:
- By the grace of God, we have been experiencing more growth in our church!
- We have two services each Sunday: 9:30AM in English and 11:30AM in Spanish.
- We saw BOTH of these services grow in August.
- We also began training members for different responsibilities during our services.
- There was also a bad storm that hit Querétaro in August which caused flooding in the city and in our church. With the help of our faithful members, we were able to get the water cleaned up and things in order for our Sunday morning services.
- Something to remember is that, we are a church located in a region where there are less than 6% Evangelical Christians.
- Our church started from zero and now to have on average 25-30 people attend each weekend, many of those being new believers. This is an incredible demonstration of God's faithfulness and your support!
Trip to Mississippi:
- We had the privilege of visiting Mississippi to reconnect with partners, meet with our Ministry's Board of Directors, and spend time with Family.
- During this time, I (Brian) also had the privilege of preaching on three different occasions:
1) Momentum (Student Ministry of Word of Life Church)
2) Word of Life Church (Watch Message Here)
3) Missions Night (Word of Life Church)

July Update:
I recently read this quote about Church Planting that I thought was very insightful,

Plants and Pillars Church:
In the month of July, we found ourselves rejoicing in God’s faithfulness. As a church, we welcomed new families every week! We are witnessing God add to His church and advance His Kingdom here in Querétaro. From a church that began with just three members (Natalia, Isabel, and Carolina haha) to having over 30 people in attendance during the last week of July, we celebrate God’s faithfulness.
Old Friends, New Memories:
Our house was full all month long as we hosted friends and family. Natalia had a friend who went to Middle School with her come and visit for a couple of days. I (Brian), had a friend that I met during my time in Panamá in 2016 come and visit for over a week. It was such a blessing to be able to reconnect with people that we love and that are walking in the plans and purpose of God for their lives.
Carolina Turned ONE:
And I can't help but mention that our youngest daughter turned one on July 21st. We hosted her Birthday Party at our house and were joined by friends, family and church members. It was such a special moment to celebrate her birthday with the community that God has slowing been forming for us.
Mississippi Visit:
Finally, we will be visiting the US at the end of August/beginning of September. We would love to meet up and grab a coffee with you. If that is something that you would like to do, simply respond to this email and we will reach out!

May & June Highlights:
Word of Life Church Youth Missions Trip:
We had the privileged of hosting a team of 12 students and leaders for a week here in Querétaro. They were such a blessing and a help to us and the ministry. Among other things, together we:
- Served a Local Boys Orphanage
- Provided an afternoon of activities at a Special Needs School
- Put on two Field Days at a local Christian School
- Hosted a Night of Worship with over 200 people in attendance
- Participated in Street Evangelism
- and much more
Plants & Pillars Church:
During May and June we have seen many new families attend our church, along with many of them becoming consistent congregants! By God's grace we have been able to be a consistent Pillar of Faith in this community and God is bringing the increase.

Check out what March and April were like:
March Visit to Mississippi:
We spent about 10 days in Mississippi to connect with churches, visit family and try to get a little bit of rest after officially launching Plants and Pillars Church. While the trip didn't go exactly as planned, it was great to spend time with people we love!
Plants and Pillars Church:
Leading up to Easter, we finished a teaching series that went through the book of 1 Corinthians and began seeing more visitors and families attend. We have also started to see our English service grow and attract more of an audience! Our Spanish service continues to be our largest gathering and we are excited to announce that the Lord has added another family to our church as members!
Easter:
Our first Easter as a church was very special! Having everyone come early and stay late to fellowship and enjoy a meal reminded us again of the importance of what we are doing here. It is a day we will always remember.
Missions Trip Preparation:
We are currently preparing to have a Youth Team come and spend a week with us here in Querétaro. They will be helping at the church, at the local Christian school we support, at two orphanages, and participating in Street Evangelism. This is something we are extremely excited about and will continue to offer to churches that are interested in coming and helping advance the Kingdom of God right here in Querétaro.

First Members of Plants and Pillars Church
Since the launch of Plants and Pillars Church here in Querétaro, México, we have seen God be faithful to draw people into this community. One of those being a newly-wed couple. We connected with them and immediately saw God at work. They expressed the desire to be members of the church, we walked them through our membership process and we were able to present them to our Church as our first members!
Teaching to Preach
For the last 4 or 5 months, I have been training a group of 7 young men from GEO (the Christian School that we are partnered with) to preach. They had a National School Convention the last week of February where each of them was going to present their message. We were able to go to the convention and support each of them as they preached in front of judges and their peers.
March Mississippi Visit
We will be coming back stateside in the middle of March to visit friends, family, supports, churches and for a time of rest. While we are visiting, if you would like to meet up, simply respond back to this email and I (Brian) will personally reach out to you so that we can set up a time and a place.

As we step into 2025 as a Ministry and as Missionaries, we wanted to let you know some of the ways in which you can be praying for us.
We truly believe that God has connected us out of His foreknowledge of that which would be needed in order to accomplish His work right here in Querétaro, México.
One thing that we firmly believe is that, our prayers can inhabit places our presence hasn't yet. That's to say, your prayers can help us here in Mexico even though you've never been here.
So with that, we want you to know the ways in which we are praying for God to move here.
Prayer Points 2025:
- Pray for Divine Connections that rapidly accelerate the work of God here.
- Pray that the Lord would add to our Church those that are being Saved.
- Pray for a Permanent home for Plants and Pillars Church and School.
Our Prayer for You:
We pray that this year would be a year of Renewed Strength for you. That you would be renewed so that you can run and not grow weary. So that you can walk and not faint. For that which God has called you to do will require you to operate in His Strength and not your own. That you would not try to accomplish anything by your might alone or by your power alone, but that you would rely on His Spirit within you to show you how to do what He has called you to do.

We have officially reached our 1st Month as Plants and Pillars Church!
This first month as been so unique. When you plant a church you are never quite sure who will come (or if anyone will come). You have faith that God will bring the people and build His church, but on the practical side, there isn't a real way to know who will come.
We have been so blessed to see how God has been building His church through our obedience. Each week we have had new families and returning families! All of the seeds we have been planting and the relationships we have been building for a year and a half are beginning to bear fruit. We have neighbors that have come, friends that have come and people in the community that have come because other people have invited them. It is even more clear to us that God has sent us here to do something specific in this community.
So thank you for believing in us. Thank you for sowing into us. Thank you for praying for us.
Plants and Pillars Church is made up of all of you because of your seeds! So thank you!

We Launched Plants and Pillars Church Sunday November 10th!
This is something that we have prayed for, believed for and pressed towards for over a year and a half now. There were so many God moments that led up to this launch along with so many moments of challenge. But God, who is faithful to keep His word, by the power of His Spirit working in and through us, established a beacon of light and hope here in Querétaro through Plants and Pillars Church.
And while we are just getting started, we know that without your faithful financial support, we couldn't have established Plants and Pillars Church. So from the depths of our heart, thank you for investing your finances into this ministry to enable us to bring the message of Christ, Him crucified and risen again, to Querétaro, México.
As we now begin the work of reaching, discipling and equipping this community in Querétaro, we wanted to let you know that your financial support is needed now more than ever!
Launching a church was never our end goal.
Our end goal has always been to establish a Pillar of Faith and Education in this community that will outlive us.

We had a Baby!
Baby Carolina Summer was born on Sunday, July 21st. We are thankful with the Lord for adding her to our family! Isabel has loved having a little sister and Natalia is recovering well! Thank you to everyone who has reached out and has checked in on us during this time. It means more than you all can imagine.
GEO Christian Academy: Bathroom Remodel
GEO (Global Education Outreach) is the Christian Academy that we are partnering with to launch our church. Part of what the Lord has led us to do with this partnership is to help GEO financially to create an even better environment and experience for their students. The directors of GEO have done everything that they can to offer the highest level of Christian Education while also keeping their tuition costs reasonable enough so that anyone in the community who wants their children to have a Christian Education can afford it. With that, they have multiple projects that they have been working towards accomplishing. One of those projects is to totally Remodel the Bathrooms for their students. Below you can see pictures of what the bathrooms currently look like. Thanks to your generosity and the leading of the Holy Spirit, Plants & Pillars has been able to completely finance this remodel! Because of your support, when students come back to school in August they will have totally remodeled bathrooms to enjoy!
Church Launch
Currently we are working towards purchasing the necessary equipment for our Church Launch. The goal is to get all of these things at least ordered by the end of August. This will give us the ability to begin working through what the auditorium needs to look like as we move towards Launch.
Prayer Requests
With a new born in the house again, we ask that you would pray for us as we adjust to being a family of 4! Also, please continue to pray for God to fill us with all wisdom as we work towards launching the church.
Finally, we are working towards planning a trip to the US within the next months to allow our family to meet baby Carolina and to connect with partners and partner churches. Thank you to all of our Plants & Pillars Family for helping us advance the Kingdom of God here in Querétaro!

WE GOT A BUILDING!!!!
Check out the video to hear the full story behind how God orchestrated this. Essentially, through a divine series of events, we are officially renting the auditorium of a Christian School here in Querétaro and are partnering with this Christian School to learn about running a school and to help them accomplish the mission of their school. To God be the Glory!
Church Launch Planning:
We are currently in the process of developing the best plan for launching the church. We don't want to rush it, but we also see some pretty unique opportunities that would enable us to launch before the end of the year!
Sports Ministry:
With the continued open doors to the basketball community here in Querétaro, we are having conversations with a well known US Christian Sports Ministry to work through the opportunity of having a team of Men's College Basketball Players come to Querétaro for a missions trip. This trip would be focused on using basketball to share the Gospel with those in the Basketball community.
Evangelism:
With our continued heart for presenting the Gospel to those of other religions, we have had the opportunity to host multiple Mormon Missionaries who are stationed here in Querétaro. We have invited them over and have showed them love and respect while also confronting them with the truth of the Word of God and the accurate Gospel message. These conversations have been interesting and we believe that the seeds that we are planting will grow.
Conclusion:
All these things and more have happened in the months of May and June and we are expectant for what God is going to do during the rest of this year! We have a place to start our church. We have a Christian School that we are connected with and learning from. We have a growing community of people who care for us. And we are having our second Daughter! So much to be grateful for and so much to look forward to!
Prayer Requests:
We ask that you would pray for us first as a family as we will be welcoming our second daughter into the world any moment now! Pray for strength for Natalia in this process and grace for Isabel as she welcomes her little sister to the family.
We ask that you would also pray for continued wisdom and guidance as we plan the launch of our church and everything that goes into that process.

Hola a Todos! Hello Everyone!
March and April seemed to fly by for us. A lot happened in these months but most notably was spending some time in Mississippi!
It was such a blessing for us to be able to reconnect with many of you while we were there. We laughed hard, ate good and experienced so much love from everyone! So thank you for reminding us of how much we are loved and supported while here on the Mission Field.
Here is a list of some of the things that happened in the Ministry during March and April:

- Connected with a Local Basketball Academy
Building:
The day after we landed in MS, we got a call from the realtor that we were working with to rent the building that we have previously mentioned. In this call the realtor basically let us know that they had another party interested that was willing to pay more than us to rent the building and that they were going to rent it to the other party. While that wasn't something we were expecting or desiring, we let the realtor know that we understood and thanked them for working with us. With that, we are currently back in the search for a location to begin the church.
University Men's Basketball Team:
I have been able to connect with multiple players from the Anahuac University's Men's Basketball Team. This is something that we see as a God opportunity. With that, I am working towards setting up opportunities for the guys to get to know me more and for me to get to know them more. The goal here is to be able to develop a relationship that allows me to present the Gospel to them through the language of Sport.
Local Basketball Academy:
There is a Basketball Academy in our community and through some unique connections I have gotten to know one of the Directors of this Academy. They have multiple youth teams that they train along with a Professional Women's Basketball Team connected to their Academy. We are in the process of becoming the sponsor for one of their Youth Girls Basketball Teams. This essentially means that we will provide snacks and drinks for the Girls on Game Days. We see this as another God opportunity to be able to serve our community, get to know more parents and share with them about Plants and Pillars.
Conclusion:
One thing that we have been believing for is Open Doors. As we came back to Querétaro from Mississippi, we felt the Lord open our eyes to see doors that He had been opening over the past year. With that, we are going to walk through those doors and see where they lead. We are truly living by faith here, trusting the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit to fulfill the call the Lord has placed on us.
Prayer:
We ask that you pray for us as we begin to approach these doors/opportunities. We ask you to pray that God would have us in the right place at the right time so that His will would be accomplished in us and through us here in Querétaro.

- We recently had a conversation about their beliefs and thoughts about God.
- It was a very insightful conversation as to why they don't believe in God.

- Divine Connections with people who are Christians, who God has called to help us start the Church.
- That God would give us boldness to speak His word and that He would confirm the message of His grace with signs and wonders. (Acts 4:3)

Accomplishments in April - May:
- Found a House (Praise the Lord!)
- Moved in to our House
- Bought a Car
- Signed up for Christian School Planting Certification Course (A.C.E.)
- Became a Permanent Resident of Mexico (Brian)
Prayer Requests:
- God Ordained Connections as we pursue Planting a Church
- Favor with the Non-Christian Community
- Grace as we continue to get settled here in Querétaro
Testimony:
- God has opened the hearts of many people in Querétaro towards us in a way that could only be His working. Almost every interaction or conversation we have had during the past month has led to sharing the Gospel. The unique thing about it is that we haven't tried to force these kinds of conversations. Rather, in our conversations the people we have talked with have been the ones to initiate these faith conversations. It has been very encouraging for Natalia and I because we can see God at work confirming the call on our lives to be in Querétaro in this season. Also, there is one interaction that we had that we believe is going to open the door to allow us to preach the Gospel and make disciples within an indigenous community in Querétaro! Needless to say, God is on the move and we are genuinely thankful that He has allowed us to take part in His plan to reach Querétaro and Latin America with the Gospel message of Christ crucified, risen and living forevermore!

After a flight delay out of JAN, which led to a missed connection flight at DFW on Tuesday. Spending the night in the DFW Airport until Wednesday. And finally flying out of DFW and into Querétaro Wednesday afternoon. We are more than happy to say...WE MADE IT!
We are currently staying at an Airbnb for a of couple weeks, as we begin to look for a more permanent place to live. Now that we are in Querétaro, I will be sending email updates each month! But if you want to keep us with us on a more frequent basis, make sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook. I'll put the links below!
Last but not least, as we launch out, we ask that this month you join us in praying for these 3 specific things:
1. The Right Home
We are believing God to give us peace and confirmation on the right place to live here in Querétaro.
2. The Right Connections
God has us here intentionally, so we are praying that He surrounds us with the right people in order to do all that He has sent us here to do.
3. The Right Friends
Being on the mission field can be a lonely place, BUT we are believing that God would put the right friends in our lives here in Querétaro to walk with us in this journey.

Today is the day! Today we leave Jackson, MS and fly into Querétaro, Mexico, where we will begin a new chapter in our story. Today we step into a new season. Today we launch out into the deep.
