Hi, we're Toa Tumaini Foundation. We partner with local Tanzanians to provide free, quality education to children ages 3-18.
For the past 12 years, we have rented a school building for the education of our youngest students. In recent years we have begun making plans to purchase land and build our own permanent school. However, we recently learned that we will need to leave the property we have been renting for the past several years, and on short notice. While we’ve had a great relationship with our landlord over the years, she is ready to repurpose the space. This was devastating news for us, as our team has really made the space something special, and the place our students call home. We were able to negotiate to stay until June of 2024, but that gives us less than a year to find a new location for our school. And unless we find a new school space, our Pre-k and Kindergarten students will no longer have a school after June.
With the new looming deadline of June 2024 ahead, we've set a goal to purchase land and build the nursery school phase of our school by June as well
The new plan will be completed in phases and will cost us $25,000. In order to break ground, we need to purchase land and necessary supplies. The good news is that we have a couple of donors who are willing to match our first $9,000 raised! But we still need your help.
