LOVIN’ Gestures Fund a Legacy Fund to honor the life and work of Pastor Pearline James

LOVIN’ Gestures Fund

The Pastor Pearline James LOVIN' Gestures Fund was founded in 2024 to honor the life and ministry of Pastor Pearline James, an ordained minister, lifelong caregiver, and childcare provider. With a legacy of nearly four decades of service to Boston's children and families - and a deep passion for pastoral counseling for couples - Pastor James lived a life grounded in faith, generosity, and compassion. Her legacy lives on through this Fund, created by her daughter, Denella James Clark, a nationally recognized philanthropic leader with over 30 years of experience.

The LOVIN' Gestures Fund has been created to provide small grants to caregivers who are caring for immediate family members, supporting their self-care, mental health, and holistic well-being. The Fund seeks to affirm the sacred work of caregiving by offering rest, recognition, and resources to those who often go unseen and unsupported.

The LOVIN' Gestures Fund is proudly housed by Give Black Alliance.
