The Power of Friendship: A Pilgrimage for Parkinson's
In 2024, Anita McMullin walked the famous Camino de Santiago across Spain, and she accomplished something much bigger than just a personal pilgrimage.
Inspired by her neighbor and friend Tom McDonald's Parkinson's journey, she dedicated her walk to his fight – and to the work of the Parkinson's Education and Support Group of Sussex County (PESGSC), in Delaware.
Motivated by Anita and Tom, generous people from across the country donated nearly $80,000!The Kumano Kodo Trail
In October, Anita is walking again for Tom and the fight for those living with Parkinson's – this time on the ancient Kumano Kodo trail in Japan.
Tom will also track his workouts back home in Delaware. Together, Anita and Tom will share videos and stories of their individual journeys.
