Protecting Education Access, Health Freedom, and Religious Liberty for All

Dear Supporter,

We are excited to share with you the launch of one of the most important initiatives in PERK’s history—Education Access and Religious Liberty for All: Legislation to Restore Education Access for All and an Executive Order Campaign, both being worked on for years.

In 2026, we officially sponsored legislation to restore medical exemptions in California called SB 1377 lead by Senator Brian Jones lead author and Democratic co-authors Senator Dave Cortese and Senator Ben Allen.

This campaign announcement and initiative is the result of over a year of rigorous preparation, strategic planning, and coalition building. This campaign is also the result of years of advocacy work to defend children’s right to an education. Now, we are calling on supporters like you to help us continue to bring our visions to life.

The Crisis: Our Children Are Being Denied an Education and Religious Liberty is Being Trampled Upon

Across the nation children are being excluded from both public and private education due to their religious beliefs, medical exemptions, or conscientious objections to certain vaccine policies. These discriminatory practices are not only unconstitutional, but deeply damaging to families, communities, and our country’s future.

States like California, New York, Connecticut, and Maine have already eliminated religious exemptions, and other states are poised to follow. On July 28, 2025, the American Academy of Pediatrics issued a policy statement attempting to remove religious exemptions nationwide.  Families are being forced to choose between their deeply held convictions and their child’s right to attend school. This isn’t just discriminatory; it’s unconstitutional. The root issue is the aggressive enforcement of extreme vaccine mandates that violate religious liberty and medical freedom, compounded by recent COVID-era policies.

Our Response: A Bold, Multi-Level Campaign
To address this urgent crisis, PERK is launching a two-tiered campaign—one at the state level and the other on the national level in Washington, D.C. Our primary goal is to introduce legislation and secure an Executive Order (EO) to restore educational access and constitutional protections for families who are currently being marginalized.

  1. We received a letter response from the President of the United States from our initial petition.
  2. In 2026, we officially sponsored legislation to restore medical exemptions in California called SB 1377 lead by Senator Brian Jones lead author and Democratic co-authors Senator Dave Cortese and Senator Ben Allen.
  3. Join our alliance, advocacy, and leadership teams. Sign up Here.

Your support today will immediately support the initiatives, creating momentum that can protect millions of children and families across the country.

Join the Movement – Build the Legacy
This campaign is not just about policy—it’s about restoring fundamental freedoms and ensuring equal access to education for every child, upholding religious freedom, and health freedom for all.

We are honored to have your partnership in this historic effort. Together, we can protect the rights of families and children—and leave a legacy of freedom for future generations.

With deep gratitude,

Amy Bohn

Help us make 2026 even better! Here is our 5 year impact report from 2025.

PERK is fundraising to advocate for YOUR child's right to an education, medical freedom, bodily autonomy, parental rights & civil rights.

Please support our efforts by making a donation below to preserve YOUR child's access to education and protect religious freedom for all.

About PERK:

PERK is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to Protecting the Educational Rights of Kids. PERK’s mission is to advocate for medical freedom, bodily autonomy, civil rights, parental rights and to protect the right to an education for high school students, college students, and  elementary school age children. PERK has tens of thousands of members consisting of public employees, first responders, students and parents of children attending school, grades K through 12.

Because of your unwavering support, our efforts have produced result after result. Mandates have been delayed and dropped due to PERK’s efforts. Because of PERK’s efforts, parental rights have been preserved, children have been protected, and educational rights have been upheld. Over the past years we have seen California and our country face some of the worst, most extreme times, and PERK did not back down. Instead, we took on the challenge and strategically formed working groups to defeat bills that aimed to erode our fundamental rights.

Our initiatives have a significant impact in California and the nation on protecting children's access to education, religious rights and medical freedom, parental rights, and children. We need your help to amplify our advocacy work, activate the people, bring education and awareness to the issues, and continue to sustain the work we already do. We have more advocacy tools, resource guides, mandate prevention forms, opt out resources for parents, tips for parents, educational materials, advocacy trips to the capital, infographics, guided action on medical freedom issues, and more to share with you.

Please help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 by donating to our efforts.
