Since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war, millions of Ukrainians have been internally displaced, losing their homes, businesses, and families. Tens of thousands of people have been killed, millions have fled and cities have been reduced to rubble by Russia's relentless bombardment.
Some people successfully cross the border and fled the country, some didn't able to do so, for different reasons.
Those who have resources, contacts and flexible jobs have of course, had it easier to relocate than those who lack such privileges.
Seeking asylum is a human right. No matter their race, religion, color or creed, moral imperative should be given to those who wants to leave and save their lives.
Families with many children also find it difficult and challenging, because the government doesn’t give enough support for them. Access to medical support is another important issue.
I know that the government of Ukraine tries all their best to provide support, but it’s still horrible.
Winter is coming in European continents...
Am afraid that our brothers and sisters will enter the season with lack of permanent housing, limited access to energy to heat homes, indefensible temporary shelters, and proximity to hazardous material.
And as a culturally-driven person, (with the help of some international friends abroad) will organize local and international fundraising for a cause to help alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
Through this simple collective effort, we hope to help and give our brothers and sisters from Ukraine a chance to start their lives again. 💙💛
Let's all stand and unite to support Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence. ✊
