Justice for Samson Animal Rescue is launching the Building Hope Campaign to create a permanent, climate-controlled rescue and adoption center in Brooks County, Texas.
For years, we have operated as a foster-based rescue, saving dogs from abandonment, neglect, abuse, owner surrenders, and overcrowded shelters. While foster homes remain an essential part of our mission, the growing need for rescue services in South Texas has highlighted a critical problem: there simply are not enough safe places for homeless animals to go.
Many rural communities have little or no shelter space available. In some cases, healthy and adoptable dogs face euthanasia simply because there is nowhere for them to stay while waiting for a home.
The Building Hope Campaign will help us transform three acres of property into a lifesaving refuge for dogs in need. Our vision includes a climate-controlled rescue facility featuring indoor and outdoor kennels, secure exercise yards, medical recovery space, adoption areas, and educational resources for the community.
Phase One (Completed)
Purchase of property
Fencing of the first acre
Initial site preparation for rescue operations
Phase Two (Current Goal)
Land clearing and site development
Installation of temporary outdoor kennel areas
Utility and infrastructure improvements
Expansion of animal housing capacity
Phase Three (Future Goal)
Construction of a climate-controlled rescue and adoption center
Indoor/outdoor kennel runs
Medical and quarantine areas
Adoption and visitor spaces
Storage and operational support facilities
Why This Project Matters
Brooks County and surrounding rural communities have limited options for homeless animals. Our completed facility will allow Justice for Samson Animal Rescue to:
Save more dogs from euthanasia
Provide emergency housing during disasters and cruelty cases
Offer rehabilitation and recovery space for neglected animals
Expand adoption opportunities throughout Texas and beyond
Educate the public on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare
How You Can Help
Every donation helps move this project forward. Contributions support construction, fencing, kennel systems, utilities, site development, equipment, and the daily care of animals currently in our program.
Together, we can build a safe haven where abandoned, abused, neglected, and forgotten dogs are given the second chance they deserve.
Campaign Goal: $177,500
Mission: To create a climate-controlled rescue and adoption center that will serve as a beacon of hope for homeless animals throughout South Texas.
🐾 Because every dog deserves safety, compassion, and a chance to find a loving home. 🐾
