AND HELP PEI PREPARE OUR MILITARY FOR THE TRANSITION FROM ACTIVE DUTY TO CIVILIAN LIFE!
Patriot Empowerment Institute is a Veteran 501(c)3 non-profit founded by three former US Marine Corps Force Recon teammates. After attending numerous funerals of fellow teammates who had struggled to transition back into civilian life, the three co-founders decided to act. Knowing that they themselves fell within the statistical envelope, they created a program to help successfully transition those who would follow.
Research indicates that veterans who had committed suicide or died of accidental overdose were typically lacking a long-term strategy. It was further shown that by putting a simple transition plan in place at least two years prior to discharge, veterans are more likely to reacclimate smoothly. Currently, the U.S. military only provides a five-day program, conducted only weeks (sometimes days) prior to transition. The sheer amount of information presented is not easily absorbed and is subsequently dismissed or forgotten.
PEI’s goal is to change these statistics. By reaching out to transitioning active-duty service members, veterans, and their families two years prior, we can help create an action plan that best suits the individual.
Our FOUR PILLAR Mission allows service members to choose the path they wish to pursue and puts them on track toward that goal by helping them achieve milestones along the way. We do this by helping young active duty take a comprehensive look at transition and assist them in setting long-term plans that will realistically help them succeed at either seeking a higher education or professional employment.
THANK YOU for your help in providing our future transitioning military heroes with the guidance and tools necessary for a seamless transition process with a positive trajectory!
