Pardon Donziger: Support the Pardon Campaign and Legal Defense Fund
Steven Donziger and the Amazon communities in Ecuador are facing an even more urgent situation than when Steven was detained for 993 days. While Steven was released in April after a massive public outcry, he is not even close to being out of danger. Chevron still can seek his renewed detention through a pending civil case where the company is trying to gain access to his computer and confidential information. In Ecuador, thousands of Indigenous peoples and farmers continue to face an imminent risk of death for being exposed to Chevron's poisonous waste. These communities need lawyers to enforce their judgement so lives and cultures can be saved and restored. Steven's legal expenses are growing as he moves to get his passport and law license returned.
We must not allow Chevron to literally kill off Indigenous peoples in Ecuador and manipulate the law against Steven or any Earth Defender. The outcome of Steven's case and the environmental case in Ecuador matter greatly to all advocates and for the survival of our planet. Please donate today to help us turn the tables on Chevron and ensure justice is obtained!
