My name is Manar, and I am a mother of four children. We never imagined that we would one day have to turn to strangers and ask for help simply to give our children the basic things they need.
After losing our home in Zeirat, our family was left with nowhere to go. Today, all six of us are living together in a single classroom inside a school. Our children are all under fifteen years old, and instead of growing up in the safety and comfort of their own home, they are growing up surrounded by uncertainty.
This classroom gives us a roof over our heads for now, but it does not feel like home. We do not know when we will have a place of our own again, or what tomorrow will bring. As a mother, one of the hardest things is looking into my children's eyes and trying to reassure them when I cannot promise that things will get better soon.
We have no source of income, and even the most basic necessities have become difficult for us to afford. Food, clean clothes, and a safe place to sleep are things every child should have without their parents having to worry about whether they can provide them.
My children deserve the chance to eat properly, stay warm and clean, learn, play, and feel safe. They deserve a childhood where fear and uncertainty do not take up so much space.
We are starting this fundraising because we cannot get through this alone. Every donation, no matter how small, can help us provide essential necessities for our children and move toward safer, more stable shelter.
