ONWARD! A FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN TO LAUNCH THE NEW BIRREN CENTER
For autobiographical studies
The Birren Center for Autobiographical Studies undertakes the valuable work of training affiliates to preserve the pioneering work of Dr. James Birren, a pioneering gerontologist and founding dean of the School of Gerontology at the University of Southern California. Our mission is to transform lives and make the world a better place, one story at a time.
We believe that reflecting, and sharing life stories is a powerful and enduring gift we give ourselves and those we love.
We have provided 200,000+ hours of help to individual writers on their journeys, trained 600+ guides and affiliates around the
world, and thousands of stories have been written and preserved.
We are asking for your support in launching the new Birren Center for Autobiographical Studies, a nonprofit organization dedicated to our core mission of creating a global community that embraces diversity, promotes empathy, and encourages understanding across cultures and generations through writing, sharing, and preserving life stories.
This campaign's goal is to raise $15,000 to establish programs and services that will benefit the public through the transformative power of story writing and sharing.
Please consider a tax-deductible gift of $100 or more to get us started; no donation is too small. It’s easy to donate! Please visit our website at guidedautobiography.com to learn more.
