At Amberwood Animals, our mission is to provide the best possible care and environment for the animals who call this place home. It's an ongoing journey — one that involves learning about each animal as an individual, understanding their unique needs, and continually improving the infrastructure that supports their lives as a community.
We're now ready to rebuild the pigs' homes. The original shelters served their purpose, but we've learned a lot since then — and we know we can do better.
Along with new housing, we'll be installing a more efficient water system to supply fresh drinking water and summer wallows. We're also planning to add access to electricity so we can use heat lamps — essential for keeping sick or elderly pigs warm during the coldest winter nights.
In addition, we need to build a second sheep shelter. This will be a peaceful, quiet space for members of the flock who need extra care due to age, illness, or injury.
Thanks to generous material donations and the hard work of our dedicated volunteers, much of this project is already covered. However, we still need to raise funds for materials we haven’t been able to source for free — as well as for the new sheep shelter.
As always, we are deeply grateful for any support you can offer. We’re excited to get started and to continue making Amberwood Animals the very best it can be.
