In the heart of Uganda, the OneSun Foundation began its transformative journey in 2018, aiming to provide underserved children with access to literacy and quality education. With 44% of Uganda’s population under 14, educational quality remains a challenge. Currently, only 1 in 4 children complete primary school, and less than half are literate, perpetuating a cycle of poverty and immense need.
We envision a Uganda where literacy rates rise, empowering children and their communities. Our mission, "Educate, Elevate, Empower," focuses on improving education, fostering self-sustainability, and enhancing community engagement through resource centers, literacy programs, and sponsorships.
