We are trying to raise money to start a Christian school. The building we want to purchase for the school is $185,000. A personal loan would require 20% down ($34,000).

The curriculum we have selected to run our school is called A.C.E. curriculum. We want to purchase this curriculum because it teaches Biblical-based character building content. The curriculum also places the child at their own learning level and allows them to work at their own PACE. Although we have experience educating, we would operate this curriculum as "facilitators" rather than "educators." We are facilitating students to learn to be self-learners. The more we can teach them to do for themselves, the less they will need someone else to give them the learning objectives. They can learn how to learn, rather than what to learn. To learn more about the curriculum, visit the A.C.E. website:  https://www.aceministries.com/curriculum
The curriculum will cost around $3,000 for training and startup instruction for administrators. After that, costs will vary, depending on the number of students we have at the school. Average cost for curriculum is $500 per student (this varies depending on their level and needs). High school students will have the opportunity to receive a high school diploma through dual enrollment with Lighthouse Ministry. After two years, we will be able to offer our own diplomas.

We need filing fees for filing for nonprofit. Filing fees with an attorney are around $3,000. Right now, we are paying all costs out of pocket and doing it without the help of an attorney. We would love to be able to hire an attorney to make sure we are doing things correctly.

We need furniture and money to fix up the school. We need to cover costs of building repairs, toilet paper, paint, heating, cooling, games, activities, classroom setup, etc. We want to make the school nice, so every penny we earn will go into building a school that is comfortable and filled with learning opportunities for the students. Eventually, we would love to be able to hire on more staff to help with afterschool programs, life skill learning opportunities, family help and support, scholarships for students who can't afford college, and whatever else we can do to help the children and their families in our community.

We want to rent out the top part of the building for community events (funerals, weddings, or family functions). We are looking for long-term monthly donors to keep us going. We would like to gather individuals who would even donate $1 monthly. We have a long way to go, but we are determined. All extra money will go into fixing up the building for the kids to start school.

We are in the process of filing papers, putting together websites, and planning everything that we need to make this happen. If you can't make a donation, please offer your prayers. Thank you!

Our past reputation can speak for our credibility. Not only have we spent the past 5 years teaching and leading children, but we have past experience organizing a small summer club for children, Peace of Elsinore. In that club, we had kids participating in community service (helping elderly people clean their yard or homes), putting together care packages for our military, participating in character building activities such as whitewater rafting and cliff climbing, etc. To see more, visit our Facebook page or our website:
