We invite you to join us in building a vibrant center for study, practice, and service grounded in the Buddha’s teachings—right here in North America.

Nestled in the rolling hills of Cooperstown, New York, Samye Hermitage draws its inspiration from Samye Tsuklakang, Tibet’s first Buddhist educational institute, founded in the 8th century by some of the tradition’s greatest masters. Under the guidance of Phakchok Rinpoche and an unbroken lineage of practice and realization, Samye Hermitage is dedicated to cultivating a sanctuary—both physical and spiritual—where new generations of compassionate, discerning, and resilient human beings can take root and flourish.

Your support, in any amount and in any form, directly nurtures this vision. Together, we can ensure that deep wisdom and skillful action continue to blossom here, helping shape a more harmonious and awakened world for generations to come.

Your gifts to Samye Hermitage New York are tax-deductible for income, gift, and estate taxes, as we are operated by the Chokgyur Lingpa Foundation (CGLF), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN 20-8020758).
