We call upon our community for nourishment!
At Rootsprings, we nourish the spirits of those living, working, and creating at the intersections of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ identities by offering affirming land-based artist and cultural retreat space. This land has sustained life for millions of years, including yours, maybe. In 2022, Rootsprings hosted over 400 nights of healing for our community members in Minnesota and beyond.
Our intention is to nourish the soil of our growing organization, to continue to steward the connection between people and nature, and to inspire others to join us, teach us, and resource our passion for racial, gender, and climate justice. Join us in sustaining this vital community resource!
$100k Nourishment Campaign
The Nourishment Campaign is Rootsprings’ 2023 sustained giving campaign. We are expanding our community of individuals like you who are committed to consistently sustaining our mission with monthly, quarterly, or yearly contributions of any amount. Recurring contributions support the long-term stability and sustainability of our growing organization.
Our goal is to secure $100,000 in recurring annual commitments by December 31, 2023.
Reaching this goal is the beginning of a multi-year journey to nourish our roots and sustain sacred space for artistic and spiritual healing with Minnesota’s BIPOC community.
2024 Nourishment Experience
In the spirit of mutual gratitude and reciprocity, we will randomly select four Sustainers each month as a part of our 2024 Nourishment Experience. Selected Sustainers will have a chance to experience Rootsprings in one of two remarkable ways in 2024:
- Option 1: Enjoy a complimentary overnight stay in one of our serene hermitages (for up to 5 people)
- Option 2: Create your own retreat experience, tailored to your desires with daytime access to our beloved land (up to 20 people)
*Note: Each winner has the opportunity to either redeem the experience for themself or transfer the experience to someone who would benefit from land-based nourishment.
In addition to the Nourishment Experience, those who give to the 2023 Nourishment Campaign are guaranteed to receive:
- Community Connection – we are all connected and our fates are intertwined. You directly benefit from systems and spaces prioritizing the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Immigrant, POC, and LGBTQ+ community members in Minnesota and beyond
- Community Mobilization – All Sustainers are invited to exclusive biannual gatherings with Rootsprings staff, board, coop, and community members to hear updates, ask questions and grow community amongst radical funders
- Community Nourishment – Invitation to Rootspring’s Inaugural Nourishment Dinner (Spring 2024)
