The NH Mutual Aid Relief Fund is a grassroots effort of working-class people who believe that direct action and solidarity are the best ways to meet the material and social needs of our community. We are a 100% volunteer organization that strives to Maintain low overhead costs.
Our primary project is our Free Stores. These are public events, typically held outdoors. They are similar to a food pantry but with a larger selection of items focused on helping people survive and become comfortable in difficult situations.
We currently operate in five towns across New Hampshire: Concord, Dover, Manchester, Nashua, and Rochester.
NHMARF is horizontally organized. We do not have any bosses or seek to act as the boss of anyone we work with. Our roots are in mutualism and we hold that helping our neighbors free of judgment and ideology is the best way to achieve a better society. This means we do not push any religion on our neighbors, push them to vote a certain way, or ask for their behavior to meet high standards while seeking aid and community. We strive for our supply distributions and any other assistance to be as accessible as possible with no or few barriers.
