S E P T E M B E R is National Guide Dog Month! A month to honor and recognize the amazing work that guide dogs do and to raise awareness and support for the Guide Dog Schools who produce, train and place guide dogs who impact the lives of the blind and visually impaired.
All donations will be matched, dollar for dollar, by generous supporters Carol Parish and Marty Zeldin- up to $5,000
Freedom Guide Dogs for the Blind, inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that breeds, raises, trains and places guide dogs with the blind and visually impaired at NO COST to the recipient. On average, it costs $30,000 from the time a puppy is born into our nursery up until they are placed with our graduates.
We specialize in our HomeTown Training™ Program where our Qualified Guide Dog Mobility Instructors travel with the trained guide dog to the homes and communities where our clients live, work and navigate. Working alongside the team for 14 days within the comfort of their neighborhood.
Our mission is to "Provide another pair of eyes to those who cannot see" and with your generosity and support you can help us impact as many lives as possible by providing skilled guide dogs to those in need.
