Living with cognitive difficulties is challenging for both residents and caretakers. The Alzheimer's community is continually faced with the hard reality of the disease and the questions that come with it. We believe that the point of life is not to remember it all in the end, but to remember the lives of those with Alzheimer’s when they can no longer. By creating new memories along the way, we can stay connected to these incredible individuals.

About Musical Memories:
Musical Memories is part of the Day By Day Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating extraordinary moments of remembrance and connection for people with dementia. Our program leverages the power of music to:
- Enhance cognitive function: Music can stimulate the brain and help individuals with dementia recall memories and emotions.
- Reduce stress and anxiety: Music has a calming effect that can alleviate symptoms of dementia.
- Foster social engagement: Musical experiences can create opportunities for connection and interaction between seniors and the community.
Our signature program, the Memory Disco, is a unique and interactive event designed to bring joy and excitement to senior living communities. Through a combination of live music, personalized playlists, and sensory stimulation, the Memory Disco creates a vibrant and engaging atmosphere that can help residents feel connected and uplifted.
Your support will help us expand Musical Memories and bring the joy of music to even more seniors in need.
The University School Musical Memories program has already made a significant impact on the lives of senior citizens in the Cleveland area. Our previous efforts have brought joy and connection to over 100 residents at Solon Pointe Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation Beachwood Pointe Care Center, and Maplewood Senior Living. Through these performances, we've witnessed firsthand the profound impact that music can have on the lives of those we serve.
Your donation will help us continue to make a difference and expand our reach to even more seniors in need.
The Day By Day Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.
