We have witnessed God's faithfulness for over 16 years and we are so grateful to Him for this 2025! Through both achievements and challenges, we can confirm that God has always been good, and we have countless reasons to be thankful for His goodness toward our ministry and every life He has touched! My Special Treasure, and with the help of some organizations, all donations are tax-deductible in the United States.
As this year draws to an end, we would like to invite you to be a part of our "MST Giving Thanks" campaign. Every day, we will share reasons we are grateful; at the same time we will be collecting funds to cover our remaining budget expenses, (girls home and school) for the end of the year. Your contribution helps us to continue covering food, healthcare, utility bills, support for our staff, etc. and the school property land payments.
Please continue praying for us, and also sharing this with your friends. For more information, please visit our website at miespecialtesoro.org
My Special Treasure is a Christian organization located in Guatemala; it was founded in December 2008 by Cesar and Carol Lopez along with their children who saw and felt the great need to show God's love by providing help to girls and teenagers offering them a safe home. They are referred by different childhood and adolescent courts in our country. MST is a home where they are protected and have their rights restored, where they feel loved and valued by a family. They provide a place to live, food, medical care, clothing, psychological attention and education in a Christian environment of harmony, security and respect.
Years later in 2011, MST Educational Center started when its founders felt the need to support the women who were working in the garbage dump at Chimaltenango, Guatemala. They started to teach them how to read and write. Later they realized that their children were not studying either because they did not have the financial resources to study, even from the government. That is why the need arise for a school with free education for these families who needed educational support. MST School is focused on supporting children of families that work in the landfill and children at social risk from extreme poverty. One of the purposes is to rescue them from criminal groups (gangs) of the community, through education based on Christian values and principles. Starting with 45 students, currently they have more than 300 students from Kindergarten to High school, with different types of scholarships according to their needs.
We believe in the Great Commission, to go and preach the gospel to every creature.
