Dear #ClanWanderer,
As we've wrapped up another smashing season of rugby that saw all Wanderers squads make it to their division finals, we couldn’t be more excited for 2024 and beyond. With three Wanderers teams training and playing every week (two men’s teams and one women’s team), we see over 60 young (and old) rugby players at the Douglas fields on Tuesday and Thursday night practices.
Our mission is to share the game we love to new generations of Wanderers. The beautiful, rough-and-tumble sport that taught us what camaraderie, bravery and confidence, was all about - as we, ourselves, entered our adult lives (some would prefer saying “became men”) as young ruggers all those many years ago...
On this note, we are writing to ask our beloved alumni and family to help us continue our proud Wanderer tradition. With all of your selfless donations, together with the countless hours contributed by our very capable and passionate managers, coaches and volunteers, the club will thrive today and well into the future.
Please fill out the form on the right to make your donation today. Anything counts, as long as it comes from the heart (of a champion!), and would go a long way toward bringing down fees for our junior players, rewarding our coaches and physios, maintaining our practice and game equipment, etc.
All current and future Wanderers truly appreciate your unwavering support - together, we hope to honor the past and create the future! #PassItOn
Sincerely,
Montreal Wanderers RFC

"The day I joined the Wanderers was the day my life truly began. I forged life-long friendships based on loyalty and trust. We supported each other through defeat and victory; on the pitch, and off. Being a Wanderer means much more to me than being a member of a rugby club - it means being part of a family.”
-Marty Phelan, Second Row (1985 to 2016)
Information about the team:
The Wanderers are a bilingual men’s and women’s club located in downtown Montreal. The men’s, women's and junior's teams play an open style of rugby, wherein all fifteen players are expected to handle the ball, win rucks and tackle hard. Known for skilled forwards and deceptive backs, this small club from a minor rugby province has produced a surprising number of internationals in its history.
We all practice together, so that players with less experience can learn from those with more. On our practice pitches, you’ll find players with international caps passing the ball to guys without a clue. We welcome exiles and travelers from all territories, as our name suits our disposition. Our season runs from May to October - come out and have a run with us!
