Hay, grain and supplements are the #1 expense at MMFS. It's part of the foundation of the farm's daily activities. As you may imagine, we go through a LOT of it, and it's not cheap - costing $8 per bale and up to $50 per bag. We really need all the help we can get to make sure we stay stocked with it.
$8 - Buys 1 bale of hay
$25 - Buys 1 bag of grain for a horse, goat, pig, bunny or bird
$50 - Buys grain for the entire horse herd for a day
$100 - Buys enough hay to fill all hay bags in the barn for a day
$300 - Buys feed and hay to fill all the sanctuary's bellies for a day
