Goal
Help us (Mary Carmen, Tito, & Cecilia) make the Youth Jubliee in Rome a genuine encouter with Christ and a deepening of faith for thousands of young pilgrims!
This summer the JPII Project will run an Evangelization week in Rome during the Jubilee of Young People, July 27th to August 4th! The Jubilee will end with the Canonization of Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati.
As missionaries, Tito, Cecilia, and I will invite and minister to thousands of young teens and adults through organizing and facilitating adoration, sacraments, talks, fellowship activities, encounters with religious communities, and service to the poor! (Just like Bl. Pier Giorgio!)
Thanks to the JP II Project's partnership with the Truth & Beauty Project, we’ll be hosting our events at the International Youth Center and Church of San Lorenzo. This Church is located next door to St. Peter’s Basilica, and home to the original WYD cross that John Paul II entrusted to young people on Palm Sunday of 1984!
Our connection with the JP2 Project and to Blessed Pier Giorgio:

English Immersion Camp for Ukrainian Refugess, July 2022
I, Mary Carmen, studied abroad in Poland with the JPII Project during the Summer of 2022--before my senior year of College.
Me Befriending my Ukrainian Neighbor, Sieveta, May 2022
My studies in Polish Faith, History and Culture and my friendship with and mentorship to Ukrainian refugees filled me with joy and deepend my faith. I came to Poland with doubts. But I made peace with them. My trust in God's wisdom and grace grew. And I left Poland feeling more peaceful and confident in my Christian faith.
I learned about the life of Bl. Pier Giorgio during my Summer with the JP II project. We made a pilgrimage to vist Pier Giorgio's Summer home, hike in his footsteps, and pray at his grave in Turin.
Afterwards, I brought back a prayer card of Bl. Pier Giorgio for my brother, Tito. I told him about Pier Giorgio's service to the poor, devotion to the Eucharist and daily mass, and his death at age 24. Since then, Tito says he "keeps the image next to his bed and asks Pier Giorgio to pray for him daily."
As missionaries, Tito, Cecilia, and I will help pilgirms make thier pilgirmage. Often with large crowds and so much to see and do, it is easy to get distracted and miss opportunites to draw close to Jesus.
By sponsoring us with your prayers and finacial gifts, you make this event, Evangelizing on the Streets of Rome, FREE for thousands of pilgrims! More important, you give these young adults and teens that opportunity to grow close to Jesus.
Finally, as you make your donation, please let us know of any special prayer intentions!
With early mornings, late nights, roughing it in the August heat, chaotic crowds, holy hours, daily mass, bathroom cleaning, etc. we will have lots of moments to pray and offer up mortifcations for you and your needs!
Thanks for your love, support, prayers and gifts!
Mary Carmen, Tito, and Cecilia
