Zeila is a beautiful 9-month-old baby girl in the Philippines. She came into this world with challenging conditions called meningocele (a birth defect in which the spinal cord protrudes through the back) and hydrocephalus (a condition in which there is an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain).
When she was just two weeks old, Zeila underwent surgery for her meningocele at the government-funded hospital. But her journey to recovery didn't end there. Her parents were told that she would require yet another surgery for her hydrocephalus. So, they were placed on a waitlist, believing that their baby girl would soon receive the care she desperately needed.
Tragically, seven months have passed, and the phone remains silent. The wait for Zeila’s critical VP shunt surgery has been agonizingly long, and time is no longer on her side. The consequences of delayed treatment could severely impact her chances of reaching her full potential in the future.
We have the power to make an immediate difference in Zeila’s life. Our goal is to raise $7,000 to cover the procedure at a private hospital, where she can receive the care she needs without any further delay. Your support can be the lifeline that changes everything for this little angel.
Can you please help this little girl?
