Oleksandr was born prematurely at only 31 weeks. He learned what it is like to fight for life very early on. He suffered from retinopathy and severe nervous system damage and underwent multiple surgeries and extensive rehabilitation. He was only 1 year old when he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
He is only 6 years old, but he is a fighter. His mom wrote, "My son is a very smart boy; he understands everything. But due to a complex diagnosis, it is very difficult for him to grow and develop. Doctors advise regular examinations, exercises, and rehabilitation therapy. Our family is making every effort to treat our son."
Unfortunately, because of the war, Oleksandr's family lost their income and now lacks the funds to cover his routine medical exams and hygienic supplies. His condition requires medical supervision and regular doctor's visits. If those are postponed, and important changes in his health are not caught on time, the boy's condition might significantly worsen.
