Fourteen-year-old Polina in Ukraine is a bright, determined, and kind-hearted girl who refuses to let cerebral palsy define her future. Despite the daily challenges she faces, she continues to smile, learn, and dream of living a more independent life.
Polina has cerebral palsy with spastic paraparesis of the lower limbs. Because of damage to the brain early in life, her muscles remain constantly tense, making it difficult for her to walk, keep her balance, or move freely. Every step requires enormous effort, and simple everyday activities that most children take for granted are painful and exhausting for her.
Yet Polina never gives up. She works hard to improve her mobility, loves meeting people, enjoys learning new things, and celebrates every small achievement with joy. Her courage and determination inspire everyone around her.
Today, Polina urgently needs fibrotomy surgery on the affected muscles to reduce the severe spasticity in her body. This procedure will reduce pain and help improving the smoothness of her movements and gaining greater control over her body.
With successful surgery and rehabilitation, Polina could have the opportunity to:
- Stand more steadily on her own.
- Walk independently without constant support.
- Climb stairs more easily.
- Move through everyday environments with greater confidence.
- Become more independent in her daily life.
Her family cannot make this journey alone. They are asking for your kindness and support to help give Polina the opportunity she deserves.
Every donation brings her one step closer to a life with less pain and more possibilities.
Please help Polina take the next step toward the independent future she dreams of.
