At just 14 years old, Nazar is doing everything he can to live a full, active life. He lives in Ukraine and attends a regular school through an inclusive learning program. Nazar has a preserved intellect, works hard in his studies, and truly wants to grow, learn, and stay connected with the world around him.

But every step is becoming more difficult.

Nazar is living with several serious conditions:

  • Cerebral palsy (spastic tetraparesis) – the part of his brain that controls movement was affected early in life, causing his muscles to be very tight and stiff. This affects all four of his limbs, making movement, balance, and coordination challenging.
  • Joint contractures – because his muscles are constantly tight, some of his joints have become stuck and don’t move freely, making it hard to fully bend or straighten his arms and legs.
  • Hip subluxation (partial dislocation) – his left hip is not sitting properly in its socket, which causes pain and instability. Over time, it can fully dislocate if not treated.

Despite all of this, Nazar keeps showing up — for school, for his future, for his life.

Right now, his condition is worsening, especially in his hip. He urgently needs two complex orthopedic surgeries:

  • Varus Derotation Osteotomy (VDRO)
  • Double Pelvic Osteotomy

These procedures will reposition and stabilize his hip joint, reducing pain, preventing full dislocation, and giving him a chance at improved mobility. Without surgery, the pain will increase, and his ability to move, learn, and participate in daily life will continue to decline.

This isn’t just about comfort; it’s about protecting his independence.

We are raising $3,968 to cover the cost of Nazar’s surgeries and the necessary implants. For his family, this amount is simply out of reach.

Can you help Nazar?
