A donor has committed to matching all donations for Briella’s surgeries. We’re opening a matching grant campaign, which means every contribution made right now will be doubled!

Children in the Philippines living in extreme poverty struggle to access basic necessities. Many families simply can’t afford food, water, or medical care.

This is Briella.

Briella was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, her spine did not close properly, and fluid is building up in her head, creating pressure that can worsen without treatment.

From the day she was born, her parents were told not to expose her to many people, because getting sick could be dangerous for her. So Briella’s world has been small, quiet, and careful.

Doctors said she needs two surgeries: spina bifida surgery first, then a shunt to drain the fluid causing hydrocephalus. Her family made a 2–3 hour trip to Batangas and was told they would be called for surgery, but two months later, they’re still waiting. Each follow-up brings the same answer: they don’t have the materials.

Briella has already been hospitalized for two weeks due to difficulty breathing. She is stable now, but her parents live with the constant fear of what happens if they keep waiting.

That’s why they reached out to Maya’s Hope.

This fundraiser is for Briella’s two surgeries, so she can get the care doctors have already said she needs.

If you want to help Briella, please donate. And if donating isn’t possible right now, sharing her story can help it reach the people who can.
