Olia lives in a remote village in Ukraine with her parents, far from specialized care, support services, and even basic resources.
Her life has been shaped by a traumatic birth. Due to a medical error, Olia suffered oxygen deprivation that caused severe and irreversible damage to her brain.
Today, she lives with complex neurological and developmental conditions. Olia cannot communicate like other children, struggles with social interaction, and requires constant care. She has severe intellectual disability, behavioral challenges, and significant delays in speech and development.
She also faces serious vision problems. Olia has partial optic nerve atrophy in both eyes and severe farsightedness. She has already undergone surgery on her left eye, including a lens replacement after developing a cataract.
Olia’s father is disabled, and her mother is the sole caregiver for the entire family. In a remote village with limited access to medical and social support, she carries this responsibility alone every single day.
Right now, they are struggling to afford the most basic, ongoing essentials.
Olia needs monthly support for:
- Hygiene supplies
- Medications
- Daily care items that help keep her stable and comfortable
These are not one-time needs, they are constant. And for a family already facing so many barriers, the financial pressure is overwhelming.
Your support can make a real difference.
By helping cover Olia’s monthly needs, you are giving her comfort, dignity, and care, and giving her mother a sense of relief she rarely gets to feel.
