Children in the Philippines living in extreme poverty struggle to access basic necessities. Many families simply can’t afford food, water, or medical care.
Imagine having to hide your child so the world won’t get angry at his existence.
This is the life of Theo’s mother. Behind a closed door, her 7-year-old son jumps, screams, and laughs with an energy his body can’t contain. She keeps it shut out of shame and fear, terrified neighbors will get angry at the “noise” of a child who doesn’t understand why the world is so quiet.
But inside, a silent crisis is happening: Theo is severely underweight. He lives with Autism and intellectual impairment, requiring substantial support. In extreme poverty, the only meals they can reliably afford are instant noodles and canned food. When they have home-cooked food, Theo sometimes refuses to eat, so his mom buys noodles just so he will eat something.
He needs to see a nutritionist, but for now, Theo just needs the basics. Please donate today to provide his basic needs, milk, vitamins, hygiene supplies, and essential care. If you can’t donate, sharing Theo’s story helps us reach those who can.
Don’t let Theo suffer in silence.
