Children in the Philippines living in extreme poverty struggle to access basic necessities. Many families simply can’t afford food, water, or medical care.
Luke has spent his entire life fighting for the things we take for granted: his next breath, and his next bite.
He was born with a rare condition called cystic hygroma, which caused severe swelling in his neck and mouth. To save his life, doctors had to place a tracheostomy tube to help him breathe, and a G-tube in his tummy for feeding.
But thanks to the incredible support of donors like you, Luke received the urgent surgery he needed. Together, we helped him conquer the breathing battle.
But now, Luke is ready for the next massive milestone in his healing journey: learning how to swallow.
Right now, Luke still depends entirely on that feeding tube. He needs a specialized swallowing assessment to help doctors understand how his muscles are working and what support he needs to move toward eating safely. This assessment isn't an "extra" step, it is part of his path to a life free from tubes.
But his mom is hitting a financial breaking point.
She works tirelessly, but the limited income is being stretched to the absolute limit. It has to cover daily survival, medical milk, constant transportation, hospital checkups, and now, this critical assessment. She is doing everything humanly possible, but she cannot sustain this cost alone.
