Children in the Philippines living in extreme poverty struggle to access basic necessities. Many families simply can’t afford food, water, or medical care.
Rich is 9 years old, and his world is shaped by conditions that deeply affect his daily life.
He lives with cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, epilepsy, and significant global developmental delays. This means movement, communication, learning, and basic daily activities are all difficult for him. He often cannot express what he feels, needs, or when he is in pain.
Because of his cerebral palsy, Rich needs help with mobility and daily care. His autism and developmental delays affect how he understands and communicates, so his mother reads his needs through small signals, his eyes, behavior, and reactions.
His epilepsy adds another layer of vulnerability. Some mornings begin with seizures, and during these moments he depends completely on his mother to keep him safe and stay with him until it passes. Afterward, he needs time to recover and feel secure again.
Because of all this, Rich needs constant supervision, regular therapy, medication, and special education support. Without them, his progress and development are very limited.
Despite everything, his family sees him as a sweet boy who shows joy in small, meaningful moments.
But the reality is very difficult. They live in a shared home, and his father’s income only covers basic needs. The support Rich needs is out of reach.
His mother’s hope is simple: to give Rich the care he needs to reduce his suffering and help him live with dignity and as much independence as possible.
This fundraiser is for Rich’s basic needs, including medication, rehabilitation support, and daily care essentials.
If you can help, please donate. If not, sharing his story still makes a difference.
