Children in the Philippines living in extreme poverty struggle to access basic necessities. Many families simply can’t afford food, water, or medical care.
Rein is 1 year old, and her family is trying to keep her tiny body strong with almost nothing.
She was born with Down syndrome, congenital heart disease, and congenital hypothyroidism. In simple words, her heart works harder than it should, and her body needs medicine to support important functions like growth and energy.
Rein’s weight is low for her age. Her mother says she needs more appropriate milk, but right now, they can only provide what they can afford. Sometimes, even her maintenance medication runs out because there is not enough money.
Her father works as a UV Express driver, but much of what he earns goes straight to boundary fees and diesel. After that, very little is left for Rein’s milk, diapers, vitamins, and medicine.
Rein lives with her parents in a small room given to them by her grandmother. Relatives help by covering electricity and water, but the family still struggles to provide the basics Rein needs.
And still, Rein is deeply loved.
She is the little girl her parents keep fighting for every day, the child they want to see grow stronger, gain weight, and live with more comfort and stability.
This fundraiser is for Rein’s urgent basic needs: maintenance medication, appropriate milk, diapers, vitamins, and daily care essentials.
If you want to help Rein, please donate. And if donating isn’t possible right now, sharing her story can help it reach the people who can.
