Children in the Philippines living in extreme poverty struggle to access basic necessities. Many families simply can’t afford food, water, or medical care.

Say those words to the 10-months-old Prince, and his whole face lights up.
But his mom shared something honest: holding Prince makes her feel happy… and scared at the same time. Because she knows how much he has already survived, and how fragile life can feel when you don’t have enough.
Prince lives with hydrocephalus and spina bifida, and he has a VP shunt. Milestones come slower, but his mom says he keeps trying, every day. He also spent almost three months in the hospital, and his family is proud of how hard he fought.
Now they’re facing a different battle: the basics running out.
“The hardest part is when the milk or the medicine runs out,” his mom shared. “We don’t know where to get it, and I’m terrified of what could happen if he misses his maintenance meds.”
