Children in the Philippines living in extreme poverty struggle to access basic necessities. Many families simply can’t afford food, water, or medical care.
Maria is almost 3 months old… and weighs only 8.2 pounds.
In simple words, Maria has heart defects that make her tiny heart and lungs work harder than they should. For a baby this small, that makes every feeding, every breath, and every ounce of growth feel even more important.
But Maria’s family is living day to day.
Her father works as a helper in a steel manufacturing factory, and he is the only one with income. He is paid daily, depending on how much work is available. If there is overtime, they earn a little more. If there isn’t, the income is very small.
That kind of uncertainty is terrifying when your baby has a heart condition.
Maria needs steady care, nutrition, and medical support so she can keep growing. But her family simply does not have enough to cover everything she needs.
This fundraiser is for Maria’s basic and medical needs, so she can stay nourished, monitored, and cared for while her family does everything they can to keep her safe.
If you want to help Maria, please donate. And if donating isn’t possible right now, sharing her story can help it reach the people who can.
Maya’s Hope works to improve the lives of orphaned, impoverished, and special-needs children worldwide.
