Children in the Philippines living in extreme poverty struggle to access basic necessities. Many families simply can’t afford food, water, or medical care.

Jesha is 18 months old, and she has already been through brain surgery.

She lives with hydrocephalus, a condition where fluid builds up in the brain and creates dangerous pressure. In simple words, it means her little body needed help draining that fluid before it could cause more harm.

On January 8, 2026, Jesha had surgery and received a shunt, a small device that helps drain the fluid and relieve the pressure in her head.

That surgery was a huge step.

But healing does not end when a baby leaves the hospital.

Jesha still needs daily care to stay healthy and supported, milk, diapers, clean water, vitamins, wipes, food, and hygiene supplies. These are not extras. They are the basics her family needs every single day.

Her parents are trying, but her father’s salary is not enough, and the cost of living keeps rising. Right now, they are struggling to provide the essentials Jesha needs.

This fundraiser is for Jesha’s basic needs, so she can stay nourished, clean, and cared for as she continues growing after surgery.

If you want to help Jesha, please donate to provide the daily essentials her family is struggling to afford. And if donating isn’t possible right now, sharing Jesha’s story can help it reach the people who can.

Maya’s Hope works to improve the lives of orphaned, impoverished, and special-needs children worldwide.
