Children in the Philippines living in extreme poverty struggle to access basic necessities. Many families simply can’t afford food, water, or medical care.
One morning, Prince’s mother woke up to a nightmare, her baby had turned blue.
She rushed him to the ER, terrified it was a seizure. Doctors later said it was phlegm in his lungs that made it hard for him to breathe.
Prince is just 9 months old, and his short life has already been filled with fear, uncertainty, and emergency hospital visits.
He was born with hydrocephalus, a condition where excess fluid builds up in the brain. His head grew to over 22 inches, dangerously large for a baby. Doctors once told his family to “cherish the time they had left.”
But his mother never gave up.
Thanks to the kindness of donors, Prince received life-saving surgery. He survived.
Now, he needs help to stay strong and healthy.
His mother is raising him alone, with no support from his father. His grandparents do everything they can, his grandfather drives a tricycle, earning around $5 to $9 a day, and his grandmother sells snacks when she can. But it’s not enough.
Prince still depends on formula, diapers, clean water, and daily vitamins to grow and stay safe. These essentials are a constant struggle for his family to afford.
“Without Maya’s Hope, we wouldn’t know how to provide for him,” says his grandmother.
Your donation can help Prince live with dignity, grow stronger, and keep fighting.
Let’s stand by this brave baby and give him the care he deserves.
