Children in the Philippines living in extreme poverty struggle to access basic necessities. Many families simply can’t afford food, water, or medical care.
When Kieffer was just 6 months old, he had his first seizure.
His parents rushed to find answers, but what they got instead was a diagnosis that changed their lives forever: cerebral palsy and seizure disorder.
Since then, every day has been a challenge.
Kieffer is now 4 years old. He can’t walk, can’t speak, and has trouble swallowing food. His mother carefully blends his meals every day so he doesn’t choke. She dreams of seeing him stand one day, or simply gaining the strength to sit up on his own.
But even basic needs are out of reach.
His family lives in poverty. His mother stays home to care for him while selling frozen goods to neighbors. His father takes jobs when he can find them, but there’s never enough.
Some weeks, they run out of medicine.
Sometimes, there’s no milk or diapers.
And Kieffer, who only weighs 22 pounds, can’t gain the weight his doctor says he needs to survive.
His mom shares,
“It’s not easy to have a child with cerebral palsy. It takes so much courage to accept it and learn from it. I always pray that one day, Kieffer will be able to walk… because we won’t always be here.”
That’s where you come in.
With your support, we can give Kieffer what his parents can’t right now,
the formula to nourish him, the diapers to keep him clean, and the medication to keep his seizures under control.
Let’s help him grow stronger. Let’s give his family hope.
