Mesa Verde Mustangs

Engler Canyon Ranch Mustang Sanctuary, a project of the Serengeti Foundation, has been quietly working to provide a forever home for at-risk, difficult-to-place Mesa Verde mustangs (seniors, especially wild, those with physical 'defects,' etc.) and others in need of future sanctuary. As a primarily privately funded organization, every bit of help makes a monumental difference, and your support is needed to help expand fencing and water distribution systems, purchase supplemental hay, and increase the usability of our 30,000+ acre sanctuary so that we can help those with nowhere else to go. Please help us expand our capacity to support mustangs and burros in need. 


Costs we currently face:


- Roadside fence removal & repairs, $10K 


- Installation of 3.5 miles of perimeter fencing ($3 p/foot plus four gates), $65K. 


- Hay $60K 


- Repairs & replacement to waterlines and three stock tanks, $15K
