Now that this campaign has concluded, please keep in mind that any additional donations past the goal of $9000 will either go directly towards the purchase of a new, improved Meat Van, the care of our rescues, or can be refunded upon request!
Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary is blessed with many incredible organizations who support our cause in so many ways. One of the most vital aspects of support we receive is from local butcher shops and grocery stores, who provide us with meat that is expired or no longer suitable for human consumption for FREE. Due to their generosity, we are able provide our rescues with a balanced diet that not only meets their needs, but exceeds them!
However, this arrangement is only made possible by the tireless work of our "Meat Van" or "Meat Machine", a specialized vehicle capable of transporting 1,000's of lbs of meat, traveling over 800 miles every week! Without it, we are unable to secure passage for our canine's meals, crippling our operations until it is back up and running.
Unfortunately, on November 4th, 2025, one of our staff noticed that the Meat Van had a warning light for the vehicle's transmission. When he rushed it to the shop, they informed us that the transmission was on the verge of collapse, only producing 30lbs of pressure, as opposed to it's usual range of 125 - 175 lbs.
Due to the model of the vehicle and difficulty of the labor, we were provided with a quote of:
- ~$9,000 with labor
Thankfully between our two walk-in freezers on site, we have ample food in storage to continue feeding our rescues without issue for the foreseeable future, but if we are unable to resolve the issue, our food supply will be gone.
