Maya's Hope: Special Formula for a Girl with Cerebral Palsy

In Ukraine, parents of children with special needs are encouraged to hand their children over to state care. They are told their children are a burden on society. Children are sent to institutions where they are subjected to abuse and neglect. There is minimal support available to parents who fight to keep their children with them. Maya's Hope wants to help relieve some of the burden on these amazing parents and assist in keeping children with their families, where they belong.

"Melania was born in May, 2010. As a result of improperly provided medical care in the postpartum period, there was a complete cardiac arrest and more than a month in a coma. As a result, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Melania's intellectual development is fully consistent with her age.  Physical development and speech are very much inhibited by uncontrolled movements of the whole body. She spends a lot of energy on involuntary movements, which subsequently affects the development of her body as a whole. Even with a good appetite and proper nutrition, her body is on the verge of exhaustion. After many tests, it was determined that the addition of special nutrition to the diet contributes to filling the body with all the necessary vitamins and trace elements."
