Maya's Hope: Diapers, Wipes and Juice for a Boy with Cerebral Palsy + Epilepsy

In Ukraine, parents of children with special needs are encouraged to hand their children over to state care. They are told their children are a burden on society. Children are sent to institutions where they are subjected to abuse and neglect. There is minimal support available to parents who fight to keep their children with them. Maya's Hope wants to help relieve some of the burden on these amazing parents and assist in keeping children with their families, where they belong.

"Good day.  My name is Lesya, I am the mother of a boy with a disability.  My son, Vladyka, is 3 years and 11 months old.  Due to difficult birth and improper management, Vladik suffered a stroke in the perinatal period, after which we were taken to the intensive care unit with subsequent consequences and diagnoses: microcephaly, cerebral palsy and epilepsy.

From 7 months to 1 year and 2 months, we struggled with seizures, did examinations, selected drugs and finally got rid of seizures.  After that, the condition of the Vladik returned to normal.  Now Vladik has learned to hold his head, sit, chew, there are attempts to crawl, his sight has returned, and we cannot stop, because we still have a lot to learn (for some it is so commonplace, and for us it is a victory and hope for independent living).  During all this time, our family has spent a lot of money and we have to ask you for help and we will be very grateful for it.  Now we need diapers, wet wipes and baby juices."

Can you help Vladik?
