Bogdan is an 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy who lives in Ukraine. Despite facing many challenges in his life, Bogdan remains a determined and resilient young man with a big heart and a big smile.
To grow, develop and stay healthy, Bodgan also needs proper nutrition - a special formula that today cost 3-4 times more than it used to due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. But the biggest challenge for Bogdan and his family is insomnia, which has been a problem since birth. Born prematurely at 6 months of pregnancy with a weight of 840 grams (1.8 lbs), Bogdan spent the first three months of his life in the NICU on lung ventilation. As a result of his prematurity, Bogdan struggles with severe breathing difficulties and has been unable to get a good night's sleep for much of his life.
To help Bogdan overcome his insomnia, he needs to undergo a sleep study, also known as a polysomnogram. This test will help diagnose any sleep disorders and provide the information needed to develop a treatment plan. Unfortunately, the cost of this test is beyond what Bogdan's family can afford, and they need our help.
Can you help Bogdan with his medical exams and specialized nutrition?
