Help fund an emergency surgery for an infant with Spina Bifida.  


Angelika is a nurturing and loving mother to Baby Ada.

 

On what should have been the happiest day of her life, Angelika received a bone-chilling diagnosis - with a soft oversized head and a massive lump on her back, newborn baby Ada had Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. 


“When I gave birth, my husband was beside me and he said that there's a lump on my child's back and there is some flesh exposed. I got weak when I heard the news from my husband. I got weaker hearing that news than giving birth. First thing that came to my mind is the effect on his growth and secondly, how are we going to treat him?”

Angelika’s newborn needed care she couldn’t afford.


Fortunately, the baby could have a chance at a healthy life with two surgical procedures.

Doctors would need to drain Ada’s excess brain fluid to reduce pressure and associated symptoms and close the surrounding skin and tissue. 


For Angelika, the surgeries are far out of reach. 


On her manicurist salary, she can hardly cover diapers or formula. And even with her mother’s help, she cannot secure the funds.


But luckily, she found Maya’s Hope.


Ada urgently needs these procedures to survive. So, we’re raising money to fund them entirely. 


Because no mother should have to face a challenge like this alone.
