In Ukraine, parents of children with special needs are encouraged to hand their children over to state care. They are told their children are a burden on society. Children are sent to institutions where they are subjected to abuse and neglect. There is minimal support available to parents who fight to keep their children with them. Maya's Hope wants to help relieve some of the burden on these amazing parents and assist in keeping children with their families, where they belong.
"Angelina was born in 2014. She was born prematurely by 31.5 weeks by caesarean section, Angelina was a twin, her sister never saw this world and passed in my womb.
Angelinka was born with a weight of 1450 grams and was immediately transferred to the intensive care unit where they fought for her life. After resuscitation she was transferred to the department for premature babies, where Angelinka learned to breathe on her own without apparatus and gained weight.
Now Angelinka is 7 years old, during her 7 years of life she continues to fight for her life, constant examinations, most of her life we spend in hospitals, expensive treatment on an ongoing basis, almost all family income goes to the treatment of our daughter. She does not walk, does not talk, sits confidently only in a stroller or in our arms, loves to listen to musical toys very much. Angelinka is a very smart girl when you talk to her, although she cannot talk, she will definitely answer with a smile.
Angelinka constantly needs personal hygiene products, size 6 diapers (which are needed every day), special nutrition "Nutrilon Pepti", medicines on an ongoing basis, baby cereals (dairy-free) and she loves fruit purees. We ask if you can help us and our daughter."
Can you help us purchase formula, medicines, diapers, cereals and purees for Angelina for the next three months?
